Self Led Cycling Tours of Ireland - Clare and Burren Tour
Highlights of your Self Led Cycling Tour In Ireland:

- The wonderful town of Ennis - steeped in Irish culture and traditional music
- The internationally renowned unique karst limestone habitat of The Burren
- The world renowned Cliffs of Moher
- Excellent coastal cycling overlooking the splendor of Turlough Lake
- Clare's history of traditional Irish music.
Clare is the music centre of Ireland and on this tour you are sure to have your feet tapping to traditional tunes nearly every night of the week. The Burren region is also an amazing limestone moonscape, famous around the world for its wonderful variety of botany. The area is rich in ancient and early Christian historical sites and offers some beautiful coastal cycling overlooking Galway Bay. Finally Clare is home to the Cliffs of Moher among the highest marine based cliffs in Europe and one of the best known images of Ireland.
Your Cycling Tour Itinerary:
Day 1. Arrival in Ennis - Check into your accommodation and relax ahead of your tour.
Day 2. Along the Atlantic Coast - Start by heading west to the Atlantic Coast, to your hotel overlooking Spanish Point beach where the breakers roll in.
Day 3. The Cliffs of Moher - In the morning, take a wandering back road to the village of Lahinch. After lunch, head for the Cliffs of Moher before descending in the evening to the nearby village of Doolin where the three pubs compete with each other for the best music.
Day 4. Coastal Route to Ballyvaughan - Start with a detour loop in the morning, before taking to the stunning coast road in the afternoon to the seaside village of Ballyvaughan for two nights.
Day 5. Ballyvaughan Village - The village is in the heart of the Burren region, so there is a great variety of walking trips from our hotel.
Day 6. The Burren - The road winds along the limestone escarpments of the Burren to Kinvara, another small west coast village hugging the jagged coastline.
Day 7. Return to Ennis - On the last day, circle theTturlough Lake at Mulloughmore before returning to Ennis for a final night of jigs and reels.
Day 8. Departure Day - After breakfast you are free to head home or to remain in Ireland for a few more days - we would be delighted to arrange accommodation for any additional nights.
