4 days/3 nights/6 meals - The Kingdom of Kerry has so much to offer the photographer - unbelievable scenery, historical sights, thatch roofed buildings from times gone by and much more. At almost every turn there is something to "snap". Ring of Kerry, Dingle Peninsula and the Three Lakes of Killarney are some of the attractions on this tour.
Located in County Kerry, the Iveragh Peninsula has some of the most spectacular scenery in Ireland. It is the largest peninsula in the South West and consists of Carrauntoohil, part of the Macgillycuddy Reeks mountain range. The most popular attraction in Kerry is the Ring of Kerry, a stunning drive for any visitor. The Ring of Kerry takes in the Gap of Dunloe, Moll’s Gap, Torc Waterfall, Muckross House and Gardens, Skellig Islands Experience Skellig Islands Experience and Valentia Island. Killarney in County Kerry is a wonderful Town full of life and lively pubs, restaurants, shopping and friendly people.
Perhaps not as well-known as the Iveragh Peninsula where the Ring of Kerry is located, the Dingle Peninsula is less busy but every bit as beautiful. The town of Dingle is a small fishing port where you will find plenty of pubs, cafes and restaurants to have lunch. Then to the west of the town the scenery is particularly rugged with views out to the formerly inhabited Blasket Islands.
Meet in the centre of Belfast, after an introductory meeting we have dinner together.
Setting out on a Sustrans Cycle path we head out of Belfast up onto the the beginning of the Northern Coastline to the seaside village of Carnlough for the night
The days cycle takes in the beauty of Antrim not only in its coastline but also in its famous and stunning Glens. Slowly but surely we make our way along the coast to the village of Cushendall where we base ourselves for two nights.
Heading inland again, we cycle through two of the most spectacular Glens of Antrim before returning back to Cushendall for another night in this lovely village.
One option for the day is to hug the coastline to take in a stunning cycle along by Torr Head to the village of Ballycastle where we stay for two days.
One attractive option on the rest day is to take the ferry to explore Rathlin Island, which is some five miles out in the Atlantic.
We cycle along the coast where we can visit the famous Carrick-a-Rede Rope Bridge and then along to view the hexagonal rock formations at the Giant's Causeway. From there we head to the village of Bushmills where we can visit the famous whiskey distillery. The tour finishes off with a transfer back from Coleraine to Belfast city for a final night together.
The tour has finished and you are free to make your way home.
