St. Pauls Cathedral
The majestic St Paul's Cathedral in London was built by Sir Christopher Wren to an English Baroque design between 1675 and 1711. It was part of a rebuilding program which took place after the Great Fire of London and was completed within his lifetime. However St. Pauls Cathedral had an eventful history as there had been 5 different churches built on the site previously. The first dates back to 604 AD a wooden church built by King Ethelbert of Kent.
Three times the church was destroyed by fire and every time it was rebuilt it expanded. Christopher Wren based his design on Michelangelos dome at the St. Peters Basilica and the dome reaches a height of 111 metres and weighs about 66,000 ton. The cathedral is one of the most famous and most recognisable sights of London, with its dome, framed by the spires of Wren's City churches, dominating the skyline for 300 years.

Customer Testimonial
Hi Stephanie,
We were very pleased with the route you prepared for us and the b&b's, as well as the two hotels were all excellent and we very much used and enjoyed all the suggestions in the book you gave us. The people were wonderful.I am amazed that you all live with such narrow roads! That was a harrowing experience for us, but the Irish people were the friendliest I have ever met.
Thanks,Tina Robbins, Arizona, USA
