| The Leslie family have lived at Castle Leslie for
300 years, each generation leaving its own mark with a collection
of priceless 'bric-a-brac' the like of which would grace a palace.
Each of the bedrooms in Castle Leslie has been extravagantly furnished
and themed around an era, colour or country where you will not find
a telephone, television or clock! Staying at Castle Leslie is more
akin to visiting a family home than an hotel, yet guests can be
assured of attentive service and the warmest of welcomes. |

| The en suite bathrooms at Castle Leslie are a feature in their
own right with fabulously large baths, wacky showers and outrageous
toilets all done in a very tongue in cheek style, reflecting the
family's mildly eccentric history and the wonders of Victorian
plumbing. The peace and quiet makes for a great nights sleep and
breakfast is a casual affair which is served until noon on Sundays
with all the newspapers to browse through. The 1998 Good Hotel
Guide described the experience as "Utterly enjoyable and
mildly eccentric". Many of the individually named rooms have
Lake or Garden views, and all are superbly appointed.
|
| The estate boasts three lakes, rolling parkland and a fine covering
of mature native hardwoods. Oak, Ash, Sycamore and Yew form part
of the ancient woods of Truagh that dates back to Celtic times.
One can enjoy a game of tennis, row a boat across a lake, or simply
enjoy the beautiful Irish surroundings. On a lazy Summer's day experience
the tranquil timeless feeling of a piece of Irish heaven. In the
Autumn, when the woodlands many golden hues reflect on the waters
at sunset there is no more beautiful place to be than Castle Leslie. |
