Knappogue Castle was built in the 15th Century in 1467 by Sean macNamara and is a superb example of a medieval tower house. The Castle stands near the village of Quin in Couny Clare and has a long history from being a battelfield to a stately residence. I was actually just getting ready to email you when I saw your email. My husband and I absolutely had time of our lives on our trip...if it wasn't for our dog waiting for us at home, we might not have come back! We felt like it was a great mix of relaxing and seeing all the great things Ireland has to offer. We could not be happier with how the trip was planned and turned out for us.
