Penderyn Distillery is located in Wales and is a whiskey distillery and brand that produces the first commercially available whisky made in Wales since the 19th century. It opened in 2000 and started selling whiskey in 2004. Penderyn is a single malt whiskey and comes with several distinct flavours such as Madeira Finish, Peated, Sherrywood and Portwood. The distillery is located in Brecon Beacons National Park and it produces whiskey that is exported internationally to places such as Taiwan, Australia, France and the USA. In 2008, a visitor centre was opened by Prince Charles and it sees more than 35,000 visitors per annum. The whisky has received numerous awards for its different varieties. There is also an option to take a Whisky & Chocolate Tour on some occasions at the distillery and if you are a real whisky lover, the Distillery Masterclass comes highly recommended.
