About Beech Hill Country House

Beech Hill Country House Hotel is gloriously set in 32-acres of woodland, lakes and tranquil well-tended gardens, is famed for its warm welcomes and fine food. Despite its rural location this imposing Georgian building stands just 2-miles from the walled centre of Londonderry. Also within easy reach are the Giants Causeway, the wild and dramatic scenery of County Donegal and the gentle, wonderfully scenic Sperrin Mountains.

The house dates back to 1729 and was built by Captain Thomas Skipton, whose family settled here from England in the 17th Century. Beech Hill's unique architecture is fascinating, influenced by French and Italian designs. Its attractive bow windows, distinctive porch and beautifully landscaped gardens give Beech Hill a sylvan look.
